Wishing Randland was Real

by Christina on March 28, 2008

I get wistful whenever I read (or re-read, as it is) the Wheel of Time series. Do you? I wish I could be there. I’d want to be Aes Sedai, of course. My current self would never make it to the shawl; I’m far too soft for that. But if I’d grown up and gone to the White Tower at a young age, I think I could’ve made it. If I had the ability to channel, that is.

I find myself wanting to snack on crusty breads and sharp cheese, with grapes. It seems that Rand, Mat, Perrin, and all the rest are always munching on bread and cheese. The women are more likely to mention grapes. And I wonder if icce peppers are more like jalapeno peppers or habanero peppers.

I’ve always imagined ice peppers to be akin to habaneros.

  • Welcome to the Wild Eggplant, the meeting place for the modern Green Ajah, inspired by Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series.

The Green Ajah was called the Battle Ajah, and these women stood ready to fight against the forces of darkness in the Last Battle. While they waited for that battle to come, they traveled the world to dispense justice where it was needed.

I am the Captain-General of the modern Green Ajah. You are welcome here, traveler.
